What on earth is this you ask?

We are bringing together of a whole bunch of people interested in web-based businesses, then going about creating them - concept to launch and everything in between - in one weekend! It's a lot of fun, one hell of an experience, and free.

A basic run down:

Start: 6pm Friday, 17th April 2009.
Meet your team.
Create a concept.
Work as though your life depends on it (sleep negotiable =D).
Pitch your Start-up to investors.
Finish: 6pm Sunday, 19th April 2009.

Note: teams must vacate the venue on Friday night. Staying for the whole of Saturday night, however, is permitted and encouraged!

Be warned, it’s not merely an idea that you are coming up with. We're talking a complete web-based business, live to the public come Sunday. The most recent Startup Camp in Sydney saw multiple startups valued at upwards of $4,000 US! Web hosting is provided free of charge for the weekend and shortly thereafter.

Teams need:
- People to create the website... Developers, developers, developers!
- Web designers, marketing gurus or any creative mind really – to design and brand the business
- Business minds for the nitty gritty details

Please note: this event is only open to current University of Melbourne students, who must be available for the whole weekend.
